Dark and smooth, and it holds up in a long cup without going bitter. I have tried most of the Vertuo range and I keep coming back to this one for the morning. My father, who is very particular about his coffee, asked which one it was. That is the highest praise this house gives.

Lovely smell when the machine starts. A touch too roasted for an afternoon cup, so I keep it for mornings.
